Description
The Cedar Rapids Epicenter is a resource for area do-it-yourselfers, creatives, entrepreneurs, inventors, and free-thinkers looking to develop new ideas, new connections and new opportunities. The creation of the Epicenter has been the result of a collaboration of area artists, designers, makers, and visionaries, who see the center as a gathering space to share new ideas, pursue interests, develop skills, and dialogue with the community. The Epicenter will act as a creative hub for Cedar Rapids and the surrounding community with the purpose of serving as a model or catalyst for innovation. The Epicenter will offer a series of interdisciplinary, all-ages workshops that will offer unique learning opportunities to area residents. The Epicenter is partnering with the Cedar Rapids Science center to share classroom space, tools, and materials.
